Food Sort Team Lead – Etobicoke, ON

Second Harvest is looking for Food Sort Team Lead volunteers to help facilitate engaging and educational food sorting experiences at our Etobicoke facility. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy taking initiative and guiding groups while supporting our mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger.

What you’ll do:
Lead and facilitate group food sorting sessions:

• Support and guide volunteers to ensure a positive experience
• Help educate participants about food rescue and waste reduction
• Assist with organizing and overseeing food sorting activities

Schedule & Commitment:

• Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays
• 9:00am – 12:00pm or 12:30pm – 3:30pm
• 2–3 shifts per month (flexible scheduling)
• Minimum 3-month commitment

Location:

• 120 The East Mall, Etobicoke, ON

50/50 Ticket Sellers – Various GTA Locations

Second Harvest is looking for enthusiastic 50/50 Ticket Sellers to support our summer fundraising events across the city. Volunteers will engage with the public, promote our mission and help raise funds to support food rescue efforts in the community.

What you’ll do:
Sell 50/50 tickets at community events:

• Engage with the public and share information about our mission
• Support fundraising efforts in a friendly and professional manner
• Help create a fun and positive event experience
