How to Fundraise

There are so many ways you can fundraise for Second Harvest at your event. Check out a few options below or get in touch to discuss a new idea with our team.

When hosting an event, you’re responsible for planning all aspects. Second Harvest can offer support, but the title of host belongs to you.

    Create a fundraising event and set your goal. Set up and personalize an event page with a picture and a message explaining your cause.

    Share your custom link.
    Send your page to colleagues, family or friends. Help them support your fundraising event.

    Track your progress.
    Track your fundraising results and thank all your supporters.

Along with training and educating the community about their food rescue and delivery initiatives, Second Harvest provides immediate hunger relief through school programs, shelters, and food banks.

Fundraising Model

Your fundraising method affects your event's impact. Options:

  • Online: use an online ticket app or donation page.
  • In-Person: Charge entry fees, offer donation-based services, or hold raffles*.

Connect with Us

Once you’ve set your event details and fundraising model, register with Second Harvest. Our team will review your plan, answer questions, and provide marketing resources.

*Gaming and lotteries including bingo, 50/50 draws, gambling, raffles, or games of chance often have special considerations that require licenses. Please visit  agco.on.ca for more information.
